Notes
a. Note:   He may be from Unter Thalheim (Corrected spelling of Untertalheim) in Wurtemberg per his children's baptismals. ***********************************************************
He was shown as buried in St. Michael's Cemetery, Crooked Run, PA per Helen Fairchild, but Church records point to him now being in St. Mary's (German), after first having been buried in St. Peter Cemetery in 1892.

In the Wuerttemberg Emigration Index, a record for Fassnacht, Theodaeus has been found for November 1853. Theodaeus was born in Rohrdorf. Is this my Isadore? He was supposedly age 54, if this was misread as 54 instead of 34, then it is highly possible.
 ***********************************************************
A William Fausnaught is listed in the 1890 veterans census in Pittsburgh, Allegheny Co., PA, no other information. Is it this William? - Unlikely as of August 22, 2005. All records of him have been found as Isadore. Isadore Fasznacht filed his declaration of intention to become a citizen on October 30, 1854 in Allegheny Co., PA, naturalization for him in Allegheny Co., PA was dated 1860.

 Subject: Happy Thanksgiving
 Dear Jarrod and Patrick,
Let me wish you a Happy Thanksgiving [which is probably when you will read this message! Also, give my regards for the holiday season to you Mother and Father. I know they will enjoy the meal and fellowship. I hear there is a lot of snow back east, like Detroit and I surmise the same goes for Ypsilanti! I do not know the names of anyone in the pictures. Grandma Smith never talked about her family to us, nor did she bring out this album [which I have seen]. She never mentioned the family her mother had after her father passed. I believe she married a man by the name of Hasler. There were certain things one never discussed with her, nor did she ever bring it up. She was kind and gentle at times, but much a Germanic woman. who talked very little about her family, if at all. As we went through this before, I had seen the name written as Fausnot. You said you found references to the spelling of Fosnot. The picture of the man in uniform may have been her father. He served in the Prussian army for people who would pay him to serve their time. This may not be correct either! Remember you were going to copy the picture your Grandfather has of the farm that is in color. I have a Black and White but it is not the same view. The one he has is in Color. Anyway, enjoy the meal and the memories. I will be going with friends for a before luncheon drinks then off to Ak Chin Casino for a good Thanksgiving meal.
 Love, Uncle Duane

Subject: Re: Happy Thanksgiving Dear Jarrod, Any of these stories are what I remember from childhood. But somehow in my mind, it seems that Grandma Smith told about her father serving in the army as a substitute for other men who did not want to serve t heir enlistment. I remember her saying he came to this country as an older man, married and was the father of my grandmother. He died, his widow remarried to a Hessler [?] or Hasler [?]. She had very little to do with her mother's new family. I went online last night trying to find archives of the Prussian army during the 1860's [before and after] but did not know what city was his home and if there were parish records . These are just spotty or random memories of a small child.
