a. Note:   8 Place: siste r's home after her husband, Alexander, died per Mary Ann Fosnaught. Li ved Place: Rogers, Columbiana Co., OH in 1918 when her husband died. S he had heart trouble from age 39. She was diabetic. She had red hair. O ne stillborn child after Paul Henry Van Kirk. She was called "Aunt Liz zie" by some of her nieces and nephews, and Mildred Milliron Jenkins to ld me that she made great green beans. Her funeral cost was $655.00. A p icture found in Mildred Milliron Jenkins belongings is labeled as "Virg inia Davis, Eliza Van Kirk's child", per Mildred, this was written in h er mother's (Ida Smith Milliron's) handwriting. The picture was of a c hild (maybe age 2) in a casket. No one ever talked about the Davis fam ily per Mildred. Could this "Virginia Davis" Be Eliza and Willie Davis ' child. Willie Davis was the husband of Eliza's sister Effie. ******* ********************************************************** **** Excerpt o f an email from Jeanette Tullis (Padat@@ccia.com) "Don't remember if I t old you, but buried in Eliza Smith Van Kirk's grave, is my mom's brothe r, Lloyd Van Kirk, who died as an infant in about 1928. Mom does not e ven remember him, but her sister Dorothy, who is about 1 1/2 years olde r than mom, does remember little Lloyd. I can't find out anymore about h im, as no one remembers any dates or years, etc. ********************** ******************************************* **** She burst a blood vess el in her head, which caused her death. Supposedly died from Thrombosis . The preceding is the definition I received for it. ***************** ************************************************ **** Per Mildred Milli ron Jenkins, Granny's side of the family is buried in Wilson Cemetery, o n the left, under the pine trees without stones. ********************** ******************************************* **** Eliza lived with her b rother William S. Smith after her husband died, then with her son Jim. S he died in the kitchen, under the table where she fell after a heart is sue at Jim and Gussie Van Kirk's home. Mrs. Alexander Van Kirk, 79, the former Eli zabeth Margaret Smith died at the home of her son and daughter in law, M r. & Mrs. Earl J Van Kirk, Koppel-Homewood Rd, Wampum, Pa. She was born S ept 17, 1877 in Beaver Falls, Pa. She was the daughter of the late Wm J a nd Amanda Trover Smith. She has resided her life in the community and p receded in death by her husband is 1918. Surviving are her children, Mr s. Bartholomew Heaton of Koppel, Mrs. Lawrence Smith of Wampum, Jessie V an Kirk of Koppel, Mrs. L J Yoho of Wampum, Alexander Van Kirk of Beave r Falls, Mrs. George Fosnaught of Wampum, E.J. Van Kirk of Wampum, Paul V an Kirk of New Galilee, 27 grandchildren and 39 great grandchildren. S ervices to be held Friday at the Marshall Funeral Home in Wampum.
