Here is what I found on James Goss, without listing the s ources--which I can send if you are interested. James Goss died in the v icinity of Peola, (Asotin Co.) WA,, in April 1891. I did not find that t here was a headstone for him in the Peola Cemetery. There were two mar riage license applications for a Huldah Wilkins. One said she was the d aughter of Rufus R. Wilkins and Sarah Goss, and she was born in 1871 in A rkansas, and married Fred J. Sherrill, dated Feb. 15, 1896 The other ap plication said she was Hildy Caroline Wilkins, age 28, b. Ark., daughte r of William R. and Sarah (Gos) Wilkins. I suspect that there is a rel ationship between these Wilkins and the family of Samuel Hull, who marr ied Stella Mae Wilkins. His query is posted on the Garfield Co. GenWeb, w here your query is posted. It was j ust a one-liner, common for that paper in that time, which said,"Mr. Ja mes Goss died up in the vicinity of Peola last week."
