  Mrs. John MALLORY died at her home in Jacksontown (Carleton Co.) after an illnes of nearly a year. Mrs. Mallory was the fourth d/o George SLIPP and Susan SLIPP of Hampstead (Queens Co.). She was born in Hampstead in May 1821 and was therefore nearly 75 years of age. In March 1849 she married John Mallory and they settled in Jacksontown where they have lived ever since. She was a woman of amiable disposition and a good kind heart. She leaves a husband, three sons and one daughter.

  d. 4th Tier, Jacksontown (Carleton Co.) 19th Jan., after a lingering illness, Ruth MALLORY, age 74 years 7 mos., w/o John MALLORY and fourth d/o late George SLIPP and Susan SLIPP of Hampstead (Queens Co.) Out of a family of 15 children only two survive her, Elisha SLIPP of Jacksonville and the widow of Thomas O'DONNELL. Sister Slipp was baptized when only 14 years of age by the late Henry Cronkhite. She moved to Jacksontown in the year 1849 where she lived until her death. Four children mourn the loss of a mother. The funeral was held at the 4th Tier Baptist church, Rev. C.T. Phillips preaching a sermon, Rev. J. Noble and Rev. T. Todd taking part in the service.
