  Daily News - Apr 22, 1882
The death of Mrs. C.H. PETERS occurred last night about midnight. She retired at her usual hour and near midnight aroused the members of the family by a severe fit of choking. Her sister, Mrs. WORTMAN was at her bedside in a moment, to whom the deceased at once remarked that she was dying. A messenger was despatched for Dr. Earle and the children of the deceased living in the city, but before any of them arrived she was speechless, and in a few minutes later, breathed her last. Congestion of the lungs was the immediate cause of death. Deceased was a daughter of late George SLIPP, Esq., Hampstead (Queens Co.) and leaves a husband, six sons and one daughter, all residing in Saint John city, and four brothers and four sisters living in different parts of the Province
