On Tuesday 8th Aug., Bro. James HENDRY was walking on the railway track near McAdam's Mills, Eel River, when the gravel train ran over him, causing instant death. Bro. HENDRY was born in Cambridge (Queens Co.) in 1808. He experienced religion in 1840 and united with the Baptist church at Cambridge. He moved to Canterbury (York Co.) near McAdam's Mills in 1869, where his family now resides. He leaves a wife, seven sons, two daughters. We attended Bro. HENDRY's funeral Thursday and committed his body back to its kindred element in the Baptist burying ground on the bank of the St. John River, 10 miles below Woodstock.
