a. Note:   Telegraph Journal - Apr 15, 1957
 The death of Fred G Pugsley formerly of Central Cambridge, NB, occurred at the Saint John General Hospital, following a heart seizure. He was 74. Born at Central Cambridge, a son of the late Gilbert G and Susan (Hendry) Pugsley, he was a well known and highly respected farmer and resided there all his life until ill health forced his retirement. Since then he has made his home with his daughter and son in law, Mr and Mrs H Eugene MacDonald at Lower Jemseg. He is survived by his wife, the former Bessie Rees of Central Cambridge; three sons, Walter B, Torrington, Conn., Clair R, McDonalds Point, Hazen F, Central Cambridge; six daughters, Mrs H E Thorne (Nellie) Saint John; Mrs C C Coleman (Doris), McDonalds Point, Mrs H E MacDonald (Edna), Lower Jemseg, Mrs C A Thorne (Marion), MacDonalds Corner, Mrs A C Black (Evelyn), Cambridge, and Mrs B M Monahan (Gwendolyn), Hampton. Also surviving are a sister, Mrs E J McCrea, New York, and a twin brother, George F Pugsley, Central Cambridge. The funeral was held from the home of his son Hazen, to MacDonalds Corner Baptist Church with servie conducted by Lic H A Branscombe. Pallbearers were Gerald Holder, Arthur McAlpine, William Gilchrist, Lawrence Chapman, Hartley Trebble and Niven Thorne. Interment took place in the MacDonalds Corner Baptist Cemetery.

Note:   The marriage of Frederick G Pugsley, of Cambridge, Queens County, and Bessie E, daughter of William Reece, of Cambridge, Queens County, took place at the residence of A. G. Cameron, 31 Wall street, St. John, on Wednesday evening June 14th. The ceremony was performed by Rev. David Long, pastor of Victoria Street Free Baptist Church in the presence of a few friends.
