a. Note:   . There is not firm link between this 1880 Louis Helm and Ludwig Helm from Homberg except his occupation as painter and the approximate birth year. A search on Ludwig Helm born in Germany in the 1880 census on the LDS site finds only this and one other Louis Helm as close matches. These two Louis Helms may be a double count, they are the only German Helms in the county - one count at where he was working (painting?) and one at the Hotel where he was staying.
