a. Note:   Services were held Jan. 19 at St. John's Lutheran Church near Adair, of which she was a member. Burial was at Pleasant Hill Cemetery in Audubon County. Luella Schwenneker had lived in Adair all her life. She was a farm wife, a member of Lutheran L.W.M.L., a past district president of American Legion Auxiliary and a past trustee of Grant Township. She was president of Pleasant Hill Cemetery Board in Audubon County. She enjoyed farm life, gardening and sewing.
  She was preceded in death by her husband, Dale.
  She is survived by a daughter, Antoinette Carrick of Dexter; four sons, Edward of Exira, Roger of Bruch, Germany, Rodney of Adair and Thomas of Atlantic; nine grandchildren; and a great-grandchild.
  Memorial contributions may be made to the family. Mullen Funeral Home in Adair handled the arrangements.
