Note: RITES ON MONDAY FOR MRS. GUSTIN DIES HERE SATURDAY ON BIRTHDAY AFTER LONG ILLNESS Mrs. Oliver Gustin, 47, well known resident of this city, succumbed Saturday at her home following and extended illness. Death came to Mrs. Gustin on her birthday. Funeral services were held Monday at 1:30 o'clock at the home and 2 o'clock at Immanuel Lutheran church, conducted by the Rev. Theodore Hoemann. The girl's chorus, formed by Vada Huss, Erlene Fett, Doris Grace and Ruth Mueller and Helen Siedelmann, sang three hymns, "Rock of Ages," "Jesus, Lover of My Soul," and "Abide With Me." Interment was in Sunnyhill cemetery. Louise Dorathea Gustin, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Frederick Ficken, was born July 6, 1893 in Guthrie County, Iowa. She was given in marriage Oliver Gustin at Guthrie Center, Iowa. This union was blessed with one child, Luella. She leaves to mourn her death her husband and daughter; a step daughter, Ocabelle Plowman; two grandchildren; a brother, Joe Ficken of Redfield, Iowa; and two sisters, Mrs. Mary Lager of Stuart, Iowa, and Mrs. Rosie Jipp of Adair.
