Note: Sarah Charlotte 'Lottie' Lloyd was born in Gananoque, Ontario. She is listed in the 1881 Census of Ganaoque Villiage, page 33, Microfilm C-13232, and is said to be 4 years old at that time. This suggests she was born in 1877. However, her death certificate indicates she was born on October 19, 1878. In 1881, the Census reports the following people living in the family home: - Simon, her father, age 33 - Sarah,her mother, age 34 - William, brother, age 16 - Mary, sister, age 7 - Charlotte, age 4 and - Agnes, age 2 In 1899, Charlotte and her parents were living in Beresford, Manitoba, a small country hamlet west of Brandon Manitoba and south of Alexander. Charlottee married William Perry Aylesworth on August 2, 1899 at the Church in Beresford. They had three children: Sarah 'Sadie" Rose, Simon Arthur (who changed his name to Syndney Arthur), and Robert Wesley. === The following note was provided to Sam Aylesworth by email on January 19, 2003 by James D. Wall, President of South West Branch of the Manitoba Genealogical Society. An obituary of Sarah Charlotte Aylesworth (nee Lloyd) was printed in the Brandon Daily News on Sunday, August 18, 1921. A copy can be purchased from Manitoba Archives for approximately $1.00. State the newspaper, persons name and day of entry.. 'Lottie' was survived by: - her two 2 sons: Arthur (12 year old) and Wesley (6 years old) - four sisters: Mrs. G. Watson & Mrs. T. McKenzie of Brandon, Mrs. Shields of South Brandon, and Mrs. C.W. Bolton of Saskatoon, Saskatchewan, and - two brothers: William Lloyd of Dummer Saskatchewan and David Lloyd of Ceylon Saskatchewan, 30 miles south of Regina Saskatchewan. She was predeceased by her daughter, Sadie Rose, who died May 8th, 1911, at Brandon Manitoba. ===
