Note: The following note was written by Michael DRENNAN, a descendant of John DRENNAN who was a son of James and Sarah DRENNAN. Michael wrote:
"George Washington Drennan (b. 1879) after the death of his mother Prospyna Sheldon Drennan in 1924, decided to collect the available genealogy information about the Drennan and Sheldon ancestry. From his home in Detroit, Michigan, George traveled to meet with Mrs. W.J. Kenned of Lyndhurst, Ontario and then to Mr. (?) Sheldon of Dorset, Vermont. George knew that his father John Drennan (b. 1834) had been born in County Antrim Northern Ireland. George was able to identify his grandfather James Drennan (b. 1796) as our direct ancestor."
