Note: On June 19, 2010 I located the marriage record for Eliza Ann HAYES and Joseph WILSON. It states that the parents of Joseph were William Wilson and Catherine, and the parents of Eliza Ann were Matthew HAYES and his wife Ann.
Although other family trees on the web indicate that this Joseph WILSON married a Stella Eliza HAYES, the marriage record I have found does NOT refer to the father of Eliza Ann as Matthew Hoyt Haynes; instead it states only that his names was Matthew. Similarly the marriage record I have found does NOT refer to the mother of Eliza Ann as Almira GIDDINGS, but identifies her only as Ann HAYES. Perhaps other researchers have mis-identified Eliza Ann HAYES with a Stella Eliza HAYES, born in Connecticut, and then identified the parents of Stella Eliza as the parents of Eliza Ann. More study is required to clarify this discrepancy between listings on the web and my own findings.
