a. Note:   The only source I have found regarding this Ellen ASBURY is the DAR application by Clotilde Stanton, see DAR Registration #138775. In that application she states her parents were Ellen ASBURY and James Monroe STANTON, and that the parents of her father were Thomas STANTON and Rachel Ann RYLAND.
  Similarly, I have found no detailed information regarding her husband, James Monroe STANTON.
  Any additional information and confirmation would be most welcome.
