Note:   A note from a granddaughter of Wm Nicholl to Samuel Wm Aylesworth in January 2020 states " My mother told me that she thought he father William NICHOLL changed the spelling of Nickle to Nicholl." Another notes stated: " I was going through my Aunt Edith’s [Edith Mary NICHOLL 1895 - xx] ((my mother’s sister) telephone book and found an entry stating “ Nickles lived in Thamesville, Ont. Hannah Davis School Teacher. Relative of Mrs. Moran. (Chatham, Ont)” I found another note which I had made years ago stating that My grandfather went to Thamesville when he immigrated. "
  This information is highly suggestive that this William NICHOLL was related to 'my' James NICKLE (1822 - xxxx) who lived in Thamesville, Ontario. James would have been an uncle of William.
