a. Note:   We find evidence for Frank/Francis Blackwell in the 1901 Canadian Census and in the 1910 USA Federal Census, where he is listed as the son of Francis Blackwell and Esther Henrietta Stanton
  The name Frank H. Blackwell is found in the the following quote from the Ryland Newsletters from 1935, written by H. H. Ryland: "Word comes that Robert Frank Blackwell, son of Mr. and Mrs. Frank H. Blackwell, a Stanton descendant, entered the Royal Canadian Navy July 12 [1937]. He is following in the footsteps of his father who spent from 1915 - 1918 in the World War. James Patrick Blackwell, their second son, has just passed into High School."
  At this time I am ASSUMING that this Frank H. Blackwell is the same as the Frank/Francis Blackwell who is mentiioned in the Census records. Consequently I am also assuming, of course, that this Frank/Francis is the father of Robert Francis Blackwell and James Patrick Blackwell.
  Those who use this family tree are cautioned that at this time I do not have proof that Frank H. is the same as Frank/Francis (Jr.). This could prove to be wrong.
