Note: Don Brearley located and shared with SWA the following record regarding Mary Cline, dated June 29 1791: "The memorial of May Cline, alias Loyd step daughter of Nicholas Whitsel, late private in the Hessian Troops, Humbly Sheweth that your Lordship's Memorialist being married to John Loyd [referring to John Gottlieb Loede] claims the portion of land under the order of council of 9th November 1789 and humbly prays that two hundred Acres of land may be assigned her in Pittsburg as th daughter of a Layalist that has durly improved her farm and your memorialsit as in duty bound shall ever pray. her Kingston 29 June 1791 Mary Cline X alias Loyd mark [This note added January 9, 2011 by Samuel William Aylesworth.] ================ The following note was sent by Gary Clarke to Samuel William Aylesworth in May 2007 regarding Mary Cline/Clyne: "We appear to have now proven that Mary Cline, wife of Johan Gottlieb Loede was a UE Loyalist, and a certificate has been issued to one of her descendents. I have a copy of Mary's land claim and that of her mother Elizabeth, who came from Tryon County, N.Y. Her son, John G Lloyd was born 225 years ago this month in Kingston. ... Regards, Gary" (This note added by SWA on December 19, 2010). =========== In January 2010, Gary Clarke sent this additional information: "Sam I thought you might be interested in knowing that I now have satisfied the UEL folks of direct descent from Elizabeth Cline/ Clyne/ Klein, mother of Mary Cline ( wife of Johan Gottlieb Loede ) The path is now prepared for others.
