a. Note:   One of my great-grandmothers was Sarah Ann Wellwood, who was married to Simon Ferguson Lloyd.
  I have identified William Wellwood as a brother of Sarah Ann Wellwood, based on the following information:
  1) William was living with his sister Sarah and her husand, Simon Ferguson Lloyd, at the time of the 1871 Census, Ganaoque Ontario, pg 92, Microfilm C-10001. William is listed as 20 years old in that census record.
  2) On the death record for William James Wellwood ["SENIOR"], his son William James Lloyd is listed as the son and source of the information on William James Wellwood ["SENIOR"]. The son is said to be living in what appears to be 'Shellmouth Manitoba' at the time.

  According to notes assembled regarding James Moncrief WELLWOOD (see elsewhere in this database), William is later said to have moved to the United States. I've found nothing further about his as of this date, November 10, 2009. [SWA]
