 Henry's father was Johan Jacob Defrehn, who was born in December 1749 in Douglas twp., Montgomery Co., PA.............. Johan Jacob's birth was listed in "Pennsylvania Births, Montgomery County -- -- 1682 to 1800". by John T. Humphrey. page 94. He was listed as Johann Jacob De Frene. On the FamilySearch.org website, Johan Jacob is listed as "Du Frene". Baptism: March 1, 1750 at Augustus Lutheran Church, Trappe, Montgomery Co., PA
 The young Johannes DeFrehn (new spelling), married a Catherine Kepplinger and lived in what is now Montgomery County, Pennsylvania. Montgomery County is located immediately to the Northwest of Philadelphia. The first son of Johannes and Catherine, was born in December of 1749 and was named Johann Jacob, most likely after his grandfather.
  Johann Jacob DeFrehn was one of seven children born to Johannes and Catherine. He was baptized in 1750 according to the records of the Trappe Church in Montgomery County, Pennsylvania. Although the family settled in Montgomery and Berks Counties, they moved to what is now New Philadelphia in Schuykill County in 1790.
