Branch No. 2 FILED Sep 18, 1979 Earl D. Young Register in Probate Seal later applied to Will after Martha's death: The Undersigned Circuit Court Judge of Rock County Wisconsin hereby ceritifies that this will was admitted to Probate as prescribed by statute on Sept 25, 1979 Sverre Roang Circuit Court Judge, Rock County, Wis. Branch No. 2 "The Peppel/Poeppel Family Tree" by Kathy Poeppel-Moiel (kpoeppel@@earthlink.net): Norene Hathaway Wedam (great granddaughter of John Poeppel and Bertha Brose, Martha's parents, through Erwin Poeppel and his daughter Juanita Poeppel) compiled a Poeppel Family History between 1978 and 1994. While visiting with Mart Poeppel Robinson 2 weeks before her death, Norene obtained copies of Bertha Brose's family photographs and letters. She proceeded to translate the old German script into English, had the great good fortune of actually locating her German cousins from decades old addresses and initiated a correspondence. While living in Oregon, she undertook a thorough investigation of the experiences of Otto Brose (son of Frederick Brose and Augusta Harmel). Through letter writing and personal interviews with neighbors and acquaintances she was able to piece together the life of Bertha's brother (Otto). Norene's history included translations and copies of many letters which offer a slice of life from the post war years. I will summarize and extract biographical information, copying only a few of the documents.
