Note: Bev Gudex, a distant cousin mailed me the birth certificate of my grandfather, whose name I had thought was Chester Leonard. The birth certificate clearly shows Leonard Chester. My father, Robert Robinson, Leonard's daughters Della Schmidt and Eva Pernot both were surprised by this. I have not found a single person who knew this fact. Evidently, from childhood, he went by the name Chester or Chet as most everyone called him. Leonard's birth registration was not completed until October 9, 1903.
