Johnson JANESVILLE--Erma A. Johnson, age 83, of 1319 Purvis Ave., died early this morning at Mercy Hospital. She was born at Eagle Corner, WI on Aug. 17, 1904, the daughter of Isaac and Florence Fazel Hardy. She married Chester Starks in 1923; he died in Feb. 1954. She then married Arthur F. Johnson Nove. 22, 1956 in Janesville; he died Jan. 3, 1984. She has lived in Janesville since 1923. She was a member of St. Peter's Lutheran Church, the church Senior Citizens and Womens Group #3. She is survived by 2 sons: George Starks and Clarence Starks, both of Janesville; 4 daughters: Mrs. Della Schmidt, Mrs. Doris (Robert) Robinson, and Mrs. Eva (Phillip) Pernot all of Janesville, and Mrs. Alma (Gene) Anderson of San Bernadino, CA; 28 grandchildren; 37 great grandchildren; 4 great-great grandchildren. Funeral services will be at St. Peter's Lutheran Church on Mon., Jan. 4 at 2:00p.m. with Rev. Karl Engstrom officiating.
