a. Note:   Terry Allen Mitchell of Vinita, Okla., died in a motorcycle accident Dec. 11, 2003, near Benton. He was 48.
  He was born to Roy Edmund and Wanda Jean Mitchell on Nov. 28, 1955, in Casablanca, Morocco.
  Mr. Mitchell attended school in Cabot. He served in the Navy on a helicopter carrier in the Pacific and Middle East. He worked at many jobs, but especially enjoyed the past 10 years as a long-haul truck driver. He enjoyed traveling, sailing, kayaking, fishing, hunting, photography, and riding his motorcycle. He spent the last six months of his life visiting family and friends around the country.
  Survivors include by his mother, Wanda Mitchell of Wichita, Kan.; two sons, Robert Allen and Justico Mitchell; two brothers, Ronnie Mitchell of Vinita and David Mitchell of Paducah, Ky.; three sisters and their husbands, Barbara and James Cole of Seattle, Vickie and Rex Branson of Woodland Shores, Okla., and Della and Alex Cole of Bauxite; and a large and loving extended family and circle of friends.
  A memorial service is scheduled for 2 p.m. Monday at the Community Center in Woodland Shores near Afton, Okla.
  Memorials may be made to the Salvation Army.
  Family comments: Terry had a kind and generous heart his whole life and was devoted to his family and friends. He was also loved by his cousins and many nieces and nephews, including David, Tanya, April and Abby Cole; T.J., Wesley, and Ronnie Jr. Mitchell; Melissa and Eric Williamson; Angela, Adam and Destiny Shaw; Lindsay, Sidney and Evan Johnson; Kelly and Rebecca Branson; Christopher Cole; and Sarah and B.J. Richardson. He was married to Carol Helfrick of Albuquerque, N.M. He was loved dearly and will be missed by many.
