 1920 Census John was a roomer at the Frank Kemler household in Beaver County, Penn.
 John worked as a stone mason and also for the railroad. In 1895 they lived at 280 Addison Street, Washington, PA.
  OBITUARY, May 3, 1926
 John D. Lovejoy Dies of a Cerebral hemorrhage While at Work in Conway Yard
 Taken suddenly ill at his work in the Conway railroad yards,John D. Lovejoy, aged 54, of Rochester, died instantly about 3 o'clock Saturday afternoon. He was employed as fireman of a stationary boiler in the engine house at the yards. The body was removed to Hartzel Bros. Mortuary at Rochester, where it was viewed by Coroner H. McCarter. Death was due to cerebral hemmorage. Mr. Lovejoy was born in Washington, PA and was a glassworker by occupation. He located in Rochester about twenty years ago. His wife died about eight years ago. He was a member of Rochester Lodge No 331, Loyal Order of Moose, and had been making his home at the Moose Temple. He leaves two daughters, Mrs. Edward Savage of McDonald, Ohio and Mrs. Otto Hughes of Niles, Ohio, also two brothers and three sisters. The body was taken this morning to the Moose Temple, where funeral services were held at 2 o'clock this afternoon. Burial was in Lacock's cemetery.
