  From the Washington Observer, March 21, 1908:
  William Seals died yesterday morning at his home in Chartiers township, of kidney trouble. He was aged 78 years. Mr. Seals is survived by three sons, C.L. and Newton of the state of California and Roseberry of Washington and three daughters, Mrs.(Mary) Hickman of Waynesburg, Mrs. Annie Lovejoy of Washington and Mrs. Maria (Mariah?)Harper. The interment will be made in the Washington cemetery at 2 o'clock this afternoon
