Note: r was born in Amherst County, Virginia and in early youth came with his parents to Tennessee. Issac Jr. was a soldier in the War of 1812 and took part in the battle of New 0rleans. He moved to Barren County, Ky. about the year 1834 and after a number of other removals, located in Butler County in 1850. He died in 1858 at the age of 72 yrs. Chariottie Murray Tinsley was a daughter of Thomas and Hannah (Bushnell) Murray and in her union with Isaac Tinsley, Jr. was born the following children; James(deceased), Harriet L,(Holman), John Madison, Calvin, Thomas W ., Joseph K., Christopher C.(deceased), Cynthia (Wolf, Burris, and Mills) and Sophia J.(Oliver). John Madison was first married in 1846 to Mrs. Lucinda ( Nichols ) Quiesenberry. She was the daughter of John and Edith (Stovall) Nichols of Allen C ounty; She was the mother of the following children: Amanda A.(Doyel), Henry C., and Emma J.(Lambirth). She died in Febtuary 1856. Mr. Tinsley then married Mary D. Landrum of Barren County. One child was born and died. Mary died in July 1858. John Madison married his third wife, June 26, 1859. Lucinda Watkins, daughter of John and Nancy(Wainscott ) Watkins of Allen County, born Oct. 9, 1834; This union has been blessed by the birth of four Children; Thomas E., Ulysses L,, Isaac L., and Ida B.. Lucinda also died. Mr. Tinsley is a farmer and owns 150 acres of land; he has also for many years engaged in Blacksmithing. In politics he is independent. He is a member of the Christian Church. 1859 bought land in Barren Co, fr Isaac Tinsley ; 1900 in mental hospital;
