Note: estead near Worland, Wyoming. She attended school in Worland until 1914 when her family moved to Hardin, Montana. Her father was stationmaster there for the Burlington Railroad and was a self-taught telegrapher. He later became Mayor for the city of Hardin, Montana. Ethel attended school in Hardin, and later attended the University of Nebraska. In 1926 she married Fred Powers. In 1938 she married Ole Fuglestad at Great Falls, Montana. Their first home was in Crow Agency, where Ole was the foreman for a sheep rancher. They later settled on a ranch at Blood Creek, 30 miles north of Winnett, Montana (northeast of Lewistown)or approximately 26 miles east of Roy, Montana and otherwise described as 4 miles west of Valentine, Montana. In 1958 they moved to Lewistown. She and Ole enjoyed winters in Arizona until Ole's death in 1979. She moved to Sidney, Montana in 1996 and lived with her granddaughter Yvonne Torgerson. In 1998 she was a resident at the health care center until her death.
