Note: e family must have moved to Lewistown as Mary graduated from high school there. Her parents (Ole and Ethel) moved to a ranch near the town of Valentine, Montana, which is approximately 28 miles East of Roy, Montana. Mary went to nursing school in Minneapolis and graduated there in 1948.She worked at Idaho School for the Deaf and Blind at Gooding, Idaho from June 1948 to August 1949. She was a nurse at the University of Idaho Infirmary (Moscow, ID) when she met her husband and they were married at the ranch in Fergus County, Roy, Montana. Mary died on the operating table at Massachusetts General Hospital while undergoing thoracic surgery for cancer.
