Charles Alvin Powers was living at home in the 1880 Census and was teaching school at the time. He married in 1882 and later was a druggist in Moulton. In 1900 he lived in Washington Twsp, Moulton, Appanoose county, Iowa. He also lived there in 1910 according to the U.S. Census of 1910. By 1930 he lived in Bloomfield, Davis county, Iowa. From newspaper accounts (in the Centerville, Iowa library) we learn that he and his wife moved to Oregon in 1934. He died 9 Nov 1943 in Lane County, OR. (Source, Oregon Death Records, 1903-1998
