Rehm, 60, of Potter street, died at 5:15 am last Thursday in Moses Ludington Hospital, Ticonderoga. Mr. Rehm had been removed to the hospital after being stricken ill while at work at the Chaffee Lumber company on Tuesday. Mr. Rehm, who had been active in Masonic circles, was a past master of Phoenix lodge, 96, F. and A..M., and had served as secretary of the lodge since 1953. He was a member of the Past Masters association of Warren-Washington-Saratoga counties and had been serving as second vice president. He also was a past district deputy of the Washington Masonic district. He was a past high priest of Champlain chapter, 25, R.A.M. and was serving as secretary of the chapter at the time of his death. He was a member and past illustrious master of Washington council 52, R. and S. M. He also was a past patron of Skenesborough chapter, 663, and past assistant grand lecturer of Warren-Washington district of the Order of Eastern Star. Mr. Rehm, who attended the local schools, was employed for many years in the Champlain Silk mills and Champlain Spinners. He also had operated filling stations in the community before entering the employ of the Chaffee Lumber company. Surviving are his wife, Jenny; two sons, Clifford of Fort Edward and William a member of the U.S. Air Force; a daughter, Helen of Bangor, Maine; five sisters, Mrs. Pauline Benjamin of Whitehall, Miss Martha Rehm of Philadelphia, Pa., Mrs. Katherine Shoro and Mrs. Elsie Neblett, both of Rensselaer, and Mrs. Christina O'Hara of Springfield, Vt.; two brothers, Theodore of Whitehall and Harold of Clemons. Memorial services were conducted at the funeral home Friday evening by Phoenix lodge, 96, F. and A.M. Funeral services were conducted at the funeral home Saturday afternoon, with the Rev. R. C. Joudry, rector of Trinity Episcopal church officiating. Burial was in Greenmount cemetery. Bearers were Jerome Campbell, Albert Chaffee, Arthur Hoffman, Harold Pray, Floyd Coleman and Robert Rice. 4) Mentioned at death of brother Erwin.
