Doris M. ''Doe'' Minor
BATAVIA -- Mrs. Doris M. ''Doe'' Minor, 92, of Batavia died Friday, (Jan. 22, 2010) at her home while under Homecare and Hospice.
Doris Masterman Minor was born Nov. 9, 1917, in New Jersey, to the late Robert and Johanna Rochford Masterman. She moved to Piffard as a young girl and resided there until her marriage in Chicago to John T. Minor, a former Batavia resident. Shortly after, they moved to Batavia.
Doris, known as ''Doe'' to her friends and family, graduated from Greigsville High School and received a bachelor of arts degree from Keuka College, Keuka Park, in 1938.
>From the 1960s, Doe and John divided their time between Batavia and Fort Lauderdale, Fla.
Doris was preceded in death by John on Aug. 7, 2000.
Survivors include a son, Travis (Lucy) Minor of Batavia; a daughter, Missy Minor (her husband Peter Watson) of Boulder, Colo.; two grandsons, John (Yayoi) Shaw of Louisville, Colo., and Michael (Tara Rowcliffe) Minor of Rochester, and five great-grandchildren.
She was the mother of the late Robert M. Minor, who died in 1988.
There are no calling hours. Private services will be at the convenience of the family. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to St. James Episcopal Church, 405 East Main St., Batavia, NY 14020.
