a. Note:   "George Carr received his title of Captain in the war of 1812. Edson Carr records that George received a land warrant and a pension for his war service.
  "After his marriage George and Nancy seem to have settled in Dryden, NY as all of their children were born there. Some time after 1826 they removed to Almond, NY doubtless taking up the land warrant mentioned above. They must have lived her for some time as their daughters were married there, the last as late as 1842. They did, however, at some later date remove to Hector, PA where Capt. George (likely Nancy also) died.
