Note: "Henry had no middle name; later in life he simply took the middle initial 'H.' He was a member of the Dutch Reformed Church. Henry studied business in night school while working at his father's general store in Interlaken. After completing school, he was employed by the Endicott Johnson Shoe Company in Binghampton, NY.
