Notes
a. Note:   "Mrs. Betsy Parshall, widow of the late Caleb Halsey Parshall, died at the home of her son-in-law, Mr. A.V. Minor, in this village, on the evening of Saturday, the 14th inst., aged 69 years. Mrs. Parshall had been in feeble health for some time past, and has evidently been aging rapidly since the death of her husband in 1883. She was a faithful helpmate to her husband, a devoted mother to her children, an earnest, regular attendant upon the service of the Reformed Church, of which for many years she was a member. She was noted for her intellectual ability, her industry, and her unusual interest in the work of the church, the prayer meetings and the Sunday school...Much sympathy was expressed for Mr. Lyman B. Parshall, the oldest son, who being summoned from his western home by telegraph, was able only to reach Lyons on Wed, arriving at this place in the evening." - Interlaken Review 1/21/1888
