Notes
a. Note:   Nat'l Park Service gives these records for "William Minor" (http://www.itd.nps.gov/cwss/soldiers.htm):
 112 NY Inf, Co. C
 51 NY Inf, Co. D
 16 NY H. Artillery, Co. A
 3 NY Inf, Co. D
All 4 records rank = Private coming in and going out, Film #M551 Roll 98
Per the same site, the 51st mentioned was in the battle at Vicksburg in 1863. No other of the above were in Vicksburg. According to HP Minor, William died at Vicksburg. But William is also supposed to have died November 1862, according to two records and a gravestone (memorial marker?)
A William Minor is listed died 8/11/1864 buried at sect 13, site 7698 of Arlington
A listing for Black Creek Cemetery shows his stone here: http://www.rootsweb.ancestry.com/~nyallega/bcm.html. Perhaps it is just a marker.
"William [F.], the oldest son, who died at Vicksburg, is buried in Arlington in a common grave with sixteen of his comrades." - unsigned letter, from Linda Rosenberg
There's an M Minor on the 1869 Belfast atlas, lot 5 Rockville, now seems to be Gleason Hill Rd where there's a 3-4 way intersection all named the same road. This would have been the widow Margarett.
