Notes
a. Note:   I'm confused. The Minor Family Record, written in an old hand, clearly shows him m. Angeline 1855, and that made it into the Thomas Minor book. Angeline Sayers Minor's gravestone says husband James. Frederick's stone says son of James and Angeline. But the 1860 census for both of them does not match this at all. Angeline is living with her parents and James is living with Perkins Turner Minor (note Angeline's mother's name was Turn per Angeline's grave) with son Frederick. Perkins is quite young but she's not his sister. The 1860 entries are right next door.
James was a judge at the 5th annual fair of the Cuba Valley Point Agricultural & Mechanical Society in September 1872. - Cuba NY Patriot
A James W Minor was in military service 65th Regiment, New York Infantry, Private coming in and going out, M551 ROLL 98. There was also a James Minor in the 98th Regt.
