Note: Death confirmed by Obituary of Eva M. Pepper Fink, published in the Charlotte Observer December 24 and 25, 2003. His three sons were raised in a Mills Home Children Home. He had one stepson, David Doby (not sure of last name), who died in hospital in Johnson City, TN.
