a. Note:   This is a peculiar case. "Mercy", often written "Marcy", is given in the Branford Vital Records as mother of these three children. But no record of marriage is found.
  In Stiles History of Wethersfield, he mentioned the marriage of a Mercy Linsley and James White and birth of a daughter, Hannah, not Anna. The dates come so close that it would seem it might be this Mercy. However, she seems to of been known only by the Linsley name. She is mentioned as Mrs. Mercy Linsley in her father's will in 1787, and in her mother's will in 1801.
  Then in her own will dated Jan. 1810 and under the name Linsley, she mentions "Son William Gould of Harwinton, daughter Henrietta, wife of David Butler, and grand daughter "Mercy" Anne, daughter of son, William". James Barker Executor
