a. Note:   This family moved to East Hampton, Long Island where they evidently had relatives. And it appears that John Barnes died there about 1690, and then Hannah returned to her home in Branford, CT, where she married second, Samuel Harrington on 27 Jul 1693 (Branford records). He died in Branford on 25 Jul 1719. His will dated 6 Mar 1716 and was proved 17 Aug 1719. Named his wife, Hannah, and two children by a former wife.
  On 8 Jul 1695, John Linsley, Sr. deeded to Hannah and her sister Mary, land.
  On 12 May 1702, "Deed of gift from Hannah Harrington, to my dutiful loving and obedient daughter, Mary Barnes, wife of Stephen Barnes of Branford, late of Long Island - - 31-1/2 Acres of upland being the one moietr of 63 acres which I had by gift from my father John Linsley dec'd upon bare plane. John Barnes of Branford consents to this deed of his mother" (Recorded 22 Feb 1711/2 Vol. 3 Page 94).
  On 1 Apr 1720 "Hannah Harrington widow of Samuel Harrington, Senr. conveys to Stephen Barnes land laid out to my father John Linsley Sr." (Vol. 4 Page 257 Branford).
