a. Note:   After the death of David, the family moved to a town near Gustavus, Trumbull Co., Ohio around 1807.
  Elam and David went to Trumbull County, Ohio, in 1807 where David got seriously hurt by a falling tree. His father went out and brought him back to Connecticut where he died. Then Stephen moved his family out to Trumbull Co., Ohio, and died there 18 Mar 1849.
  Stephen was a soldier in Cap. Robinson's Co. Col. Eno's Regiment 1778 in the Revolution see "Conn. Men of the Rev. page 538"; also, "Pensioners in Ohio" page 163.
  He is said by his granddaughter, Mrs. Hulce, to have been "A large, fine looking man with fair hair and complexion, with blue eyes. He was one of your stiff old Connecticut Presbyterians".
  Note -- The authority given in the Lindley book for the sketches of Stephen Linsley Sr., and the children is Mrs. Julia Hulse, a granddaughter, of West Farmington, Ohio, and Frank P. Linsley, Gallipoli, Ohio, connection not given.
