a. Note:   Lud appears to have settled in Wolcott in the spring of 1801, on Rose Hill, afterward called Lindsley Hill. He and his wife were admitted to the Bristol Church on 29 Sept 1799 and dismissed and recommended to Wolcott in May 1801, and yet he paid cash to the Bristol Church on 31 Jul 1803, ten dollars fifty-nine cents and is recorded as a member of the Council on 24 May 1810.
