Note: N7 Mrs. Joe F. Nohavec died Tuesday morning at 12:40 at her home three miles southwest of Crete. Two years ago, she underwent a serious operation and had since been in poor health, the past six months being bedfast. Ida Papik, daughter of Frank and Barbara Papik, was born in Saline counth, May 20, 1884. Here she spent her entire life. She was married July 2, 1903 to Joe F. Nohavec, also of Saline county. They at one went to housekeeping where their entire married life has been spent. To this union, three children were born. She was a good wife and mother, most generous and sel-sacrificing. Her sincerity will live always in the heaqrts of her loved ones and the many friends. She leaves to mourn her death her husband, her daughters Mrs. Victor Maryska, Dolores, and a son, Frank who were all living at home and helped care for her during her long illness; also a granddaughter, Margaret Jean Maryska, three sisters, Mrs. John Music, Mrs. Joe Zajicak, Sr., of Crete, and Mrs. Ed Matejka of Pleasant Hill; three brothers Charles and Joe Papik of Crete, and Ladimore of Dorchester. She was a member of the ZCD and ZCBJ lodges. Funeral services will be held at Sokol Hall at 2:00 o'clock this afternoon (Thursday). F. J. Sadilek will be the speaker. The body will be laid at rest in the Riverside cemetery.
