a. Note:   N237 JOS. S. MELCER
 was born in Bohemia in 1870, came to this country in 1885 and was
 employed in Zwonechek's hardware until 1892, moving to Crete where
 he stayed until the year 1895 then moving to Lincoln, where he
 completed his study of law at the State Uni., and moved back to
 Wilber in the spring of 1908, where he is at present practicing law.
 He was married in 1892 to Miss Anna Prochaska.
