Birth Certificate says middle name is Kathleen
Death Certificate says middle name is Catherine
I think Catherine is right!
she used it in her high school announcement which i have.

She went to the teachers college at Western Kentucky in Bowling Green, Kentucky.
She became a school teacher, for the remainder of her life. Mildred did not teach all the time though
some times she was a housewife and mother, taking care of one son. I personally remember she taught me in
the first grade, and later when i was about 16 she was a third and fourth grade teacher in a elementary school in
Jefferson County, Kentucky this is about 1970.
She was a somewhat tall person dark brown hair and grayed in her fifties. She was taller than her husband
She died of cancer at 59 years of age. far too young for me, i was 18 at the time, and i miss her,
she would have loved to see my girls, she always told me she wished she had a daughter
mom always told me great grandfather Skaggs was as stubborn as they come
"he would argue the other side of a argument just to argue with you"
this would be Daniel Nelson Skaggs.
