On _________, he married Bonnie Singleton. He died on March 9, 1991 and is buried in the Hammonville Cemetery in Hart Co., Ky. The Madisonville Messenger contained the following obituary on March 11, 1991: Vernon Niblack Cox Vernon Niblack Cox, 75, of Louisville, Ky., died at 12:30 p.m. Saturday at the Audubon Hospital in Louisville. He was born Feb. 21, 1916, in Hopkins County. He was the son of the late Robert P. Cox Sr. and Irene Coy Cox. He was a graduate of the Madisonville High School in 1934, graduate of the Missouri School of Mines, a retired mining engineer, having worked with the Reynolds Mining Company in the western United States, South America and Jamaica. He is survived by his wife, Mrs. Bonnie Cox; a son, Denny Cox; and a sister, Mrs. Elsie Cox Beeler, all of Louisville; a brother, Robert P. Cox Jr. of California. Services will be at 10 a.m. Tuesday at the Arch L. Heady Funeral Home at 8519 Preston Highway, Louisville. Burial will be in the Hammonville Cemetery in Bonnyville, Hart County, Ky. Friends may call from 2 to 9 p.m. today and until the service time Tuesday. Vernon N. Cox had one son: Dennis.
