a. Note:   n 1709 of the Ancient and Honorable Artillery Company. Selectman of Boston in 1723, and representative of the King's State Council from 1724 to 1725. In 1725 he was one of the opponents of the explanatory Charter of King George I. Shortly after his death, in the Suffolk Probate Records of that period, the Family Coat of Arms is appraised at twenty shillings.
