She was the mother of Richard Cardinal Cushing, who was born in South Boston on August 24, 1895. Cardinal Cushing's father was Patrick Cushing, born in Ireland, a Blacksmith in South Boston, who died April 25, 1924 at the age of 63. The death Certificate Issued for Richard Cardinal Cushing indicated a date of death of November 2, 1970, in Boston at the age of 75.
