Note: The youngest son. Never married. Moved to Alabama with his brother Samuel Fariss the Younger. Uncle Pat drove off from Talladega about 1912 in a horse & buggyrig, headed for California, and disappeared. He sent a post card fromMississippi. He is presumed to have died or been killed later on thistrip. But Samuel Fariss Jr. said in a phone conversation with MaureenFariss in June 1992 that Uncle Pat was his GREAT-uncle, which would putPat in a different generation. Pat is sitting in his present generationbecause Rev. John Fariss said so in writing. Samuel Fariss the Younger 1865 - 1951 Moved to Alabama with his brother Hugh Dewitt Patton Fariss. From Cassville/Cartersville, Ga., he moved to Talladega about1900-1905, with a sawmill, "Crawford, McTier, & Fariss." The Crawfordswere his maternal grandparents. He became a friend of Stephen LaFayette Fariss, 1879-1968, norelation.
