I just returned from the National Archives and I think I have found thecorrect maiden name of Jarvis Stockton's wife. I'll send more later.Henrietta Cooke was born May12, 1831 at Beaufort, North Carolina,daughter of Henry Marchant Cooke and Frances Barry (Buxton) Cooke.She married Maximillian Buchanan Stockton Feb. 20, 1848 in WashingtonCounty, Texas. She divorced him in 1855. She died July 16, 1868 inBosque County, Texas. Her picture is attached. This picture is from anold tintype. Take care Best Regards Chuck Rogers
