Mike Barr says 02-01-1998 to Farris list that the William who died in1745 left a will in Goochland co VA, and that the William Farris whomarried Rachel and died in 1745 in Goochland co had sons Benjamin andWilliam, which sons went to Cumberland co.
William who married Judith and had 11 children stayed in Henrico co,Michael says. Therefore William who married Judith is not the son ofWilliam and Rachel. He is more likely the son of John Farris Sr. andSarah.
The John Farris Sr here named who married Sarah is reported in emailfrom Michael Barr to Farris mail list 02-01-1998 to have a will datedDec. 24, 1745 in Henrico county. It was recorded February 1746, andproved February 1746. He names his children William, John Jacob, Mary,Agnes, and Sarah. The witnesses were Thomas Watkins, Jacob Webb, andSamuel Childress. We believe this William the Son married Judith andhad 11 children. KathyHuddCooley says will was written Dec. 24, 1746,but 1745 and 1746 are in the time of the calendar change.

First and earliest entry is of 1737: 'Agnes Daughterof John and Sarah Ferris born April 20, baptized September 11, 1737 ANDJohn son of John and Mary Ferris born August 10, baptized May 7, 1758.'
